The Scientific Data Submission Portal (SciData portal) is an online tool developed to streamline the annual process of submitting scientific data according to the SciData guidelines, agreed by the Commission.
The data to be submitted via the portal include:
- Annual Catch Estimates (ACE)
- Number of vessels active
- Aggregated data CE
- Operational longline data (logbooks)
- Size data
The SciData guidelines provide detailed explanation of these datasets along with supporting information for the various fishing methods. In addition to the guidelines the Science Service Provider (SPC) have developed a series of templates and supporting documentation, providing a detailed explantion of the data preparation process.
The SciData portal is accessible from the CCM Reporting tab on the M&E portal. Both of these portals require a login and permission to be granted by the Party Administrator.
