New features of the RFV Charter Function
Log in to the WCPFC Record of Fishing Vessels and click “Manage Vessels”. This will take you to your Dashboard.
Scroll down to “Charter Notifications Pending” on your Dashboard to see any charter issues that require your attention. Items that need action will appear in red, making them easy to identify, as shown below:
You can click on each of the vessels to go to the record for that vessel to resolve the issue. Alternatively, you can use the “Actions” panel at the top right of your Dashboard and click “Browse My Charters” (see below) to show the list of all your charters including those with issues.
Charter Notifications Pending – Issue Types
Scroll through your list of Charters to see entries with a red issue for your review. Issue types are:
- Needs Review
Triggered when one CCM edits a matched charter notification. The other CMM is prompted to review and ensure the edits are correct, then re-save their version so it matches. Once saved, the “Needs Review” status is cleared.
Note: If fields (such as start date, end date, or charterer name) still differ after this step, both records will be flagged as “Needs Review” and will remain in the pending list until the differences are resolved.
- Confirmation Pending
Host CCMs are to confirm the charter has started on the date notified. On or after the charter start date, the system will flag the entry as “Confirmation Pending” until the Host CCM confirms the start of the charter (or updates the record to correct the start date (which will need confirmed by the other party).
- Missing Matching Charter
Indicates that the other party to the charter has not included their details for that same charter.
To address any of these issues, click the “Edit” button on the relevant charter entry, make the necessary changes, and then click Save.
