Cancelling or Voiding a Charter (Flag CCM)

If a notified charter is no longer to proceed for a particular vessel before the start has been confirmed, a charter needs to be cancelled.

To cancel a charter, access the RFV Homepage and use the “Quick Search” function to locate the vessel. Alternatively, click on Manage Vessels, go to the “Charter Notifications Pending” panel on your Dashboard and select the vessel to be updated. In the record for that vessel, scroll to the “Active Charter” section and click Picture 1, Picture.

Next, scroll down to below the “Notes” box to see the Cancelled/Void tick box (see image below)Tick the Cancelled/Void box and include the reason for the cancellation in the box provided

Once you tick the Cancelled/Void box, enter the reason, and click Save. The record will display a “Pending Cancellation/Void – Needs Confirmation” update. The Host CCM will see the same update and must complete part of the cancellation for the charter to be fully cancelled/void

Once the Host CCM also ticks the Cancelled/Void box and provides a reason, the charter will be marked as Cancelled/Void and removed from view for both parties, as shown below:
