Confirming a charter (Host CCM)

On or after the charter’s notified start date, the Host CCM is asked to confirm the charter has started as expected.

To support this process, the RFV will automatically update the status to Confirmation Pending—provided both the flag CCM and host CCM have notified the charter details and data fields (such as vessel information, dates, and Charterer details) match.

To confirm a charter, log in to the RFV and either:

  • use the “Quick Search” function to find the individual vessel record; or
  • click on Manage Vessels, select Browse My Vessels from the Actions panel and scroll to the “Active Charter” section (see image below).

Note: Once a charter is confirmed, you may still edit the Charterer name, Charterer address, End date, Area of application, and Notes fields. However, it is not possible to cancel or void a charter after confirmation. If needed, you can update the End date to reflect that the charter ended earlier than planned as shown in Cancelling or voiding a charter section.
