This process is used by:
- a flag State wishing to ‘re-authorised’ their flagged vessel for fishing in the Convention Area outside of its area of national jurisdiction; or
- the new flag State for that vessel.
A vessel must be delisted from the RFV by its flag State before it can be reactivated/reflagged by another CCM. Refer to “Remove/Delete a Vessel” if required.
How to Reactivate/Reflag
To reactivate a deleted vessel, log in to the RFV and then find the record of the individual vessel to be reinstated. Refer to "Finding vessel details for a specific vessel".
The following screenshot shows the menu option available for users with RFV_Editor access to start the reactivation/reflagging process. If you do not see the Add to RFV tab you do not have the required access level.
Click on the Add to RFV tab to bring up the details of the vessel to be reinstated/reflagged.
Update any relevant vessel details before clicking Save at the bottom of the Add to RFV page. The updates will then reflect on the RFV straight away.
