The RFV holds the most complete and up-to-date information on fishing vessels operating in the WCPFC convention area. The mobile RFV is a subset of the RFV, and it contains only active vessels (at the time of the last synch) and it does not hold:
- Secure data that requires authenticated access
- Historical records of vessel details and charters
The components of the mobile RFV home screen are:
- a title bar that can be used to return to the home screen anytime
- a search box
- a filter selection
- a list of vessels
- a status section in the footer
Searching for a Vessel
Type in any of the following attributes into the search box to find a vessel using the vessel search:
- Vessel name
- RFV Vessel ID (VID)
- International Radio Callsign (IRCS)
- Registration number
- IMO Number
It is not necessary to type the full details if partial details are able to find a match e.g. just typing “queen” into the search box will find all vessels with queen in their name.
Filtering the list of vessels
Similar to the full RFV, there are filtering options to show a subset of vessels in the mobile RFV. To filter tap the 3 slider filter icon located next to the search box.
Choose the attributes that you want to filter by and press the X to close or tap away from the filter flyout form to view the resultant list of vessels.
Checking the status of the mobile RFV
Whenever the mobile RFV is online it will automatically synchronise with the most recent RFV details. The status of the last synchronization is shown in the footer of the app and the About icon can be tapped for more information and diagnostics should you need additional technical support.
