The RFV is largely public domain data however some aspects of the system is restricted as prescribed by the relevant CMMs.

Access to restricted information on the Record of Fishing Vessels (RFV) is granted to users that have been assigned one of the following roles:


  • RFV Viewer - browse/view chartering CCM notifications and MTU audit records for vessels submitted by the users party
  • RFV Editor – edit/add vessel details, charter notifications and fished/not fished data for vessels submitted by the users party
  • VMS Viewer – browse/view MTU details and MTU audit records for vessels submitted by the users party
  • VMS Editor – edit/add MTU details and add MTU audit records


Party Administrators can edit a users profile from the CCM Portal - User Management tab.


To edit a user profile:

  1. Find the user that you want to assign permissions to in the list of users.  Remember the list is only displaying active users, you can check if the user is inactive by changing the filter option at the top of the page to "No" and pressing Apply.
  2. Click on the "edit" link at the end of the row for the user you intend to grant access to
  3. Scroll down to the Roles section and enable the role by clicking on the checkbox next to either RFV Viewer, RFV Editor, VMS Viewer or VMS Editor.
  4. Press Save to make the change take effect.

When a user has been assigned either of the RFV or VMS roles they will be able to view CCFS data and subscribe to alerts.
